This day is all about fun for every member of our community!
Almost everything on the island is free to enjoy
Each year, the grand finale of our two-day festival is the duck pluck, modified years ago to no longer be a slow-moving “race” on the river. Instead, local children get to help us choose the winning ducks by plucking them out of a large trough. Any child present has a chance to participate!
Each ticket is a chance to win one of 14 prizes, including a
$1,000 cash grand prize.
You do not have to be present to win. Winners are announced on the spot, and we contact those not present to arrange prize pickup.
Get your tickets from:
• Any member of Baldwinsville Rotary
• Volunteer sales locations (follow us on Facebook for updates)
• At Seneca River Days (Friday or Saturday, until about 30 minutes before the pluck unless sold out)
• Or purchase online from the convenience of your home
All proceeds support the community service work of Baldwinsville Rotary.
Paper Mill Island
Please respect all parking rules of our village and be prepared to have to park and walk out to the island. Make sure you cross at the appropriate spots. We will have a crossing guard at the main crosswalk in front of the island entrance.
This is an accessible event, with reserved handicapped parking in the village lot in front of Red Mill, on Syracuse Street. Please do not park in the lot for Red Mill along their building though. The entire park has paved walkways, with access to public restrooms on the back of the stage.
We also have a cart for helping bring people in who may struggle with the walk to get onto the island. Find a Rotary volunteer in a duck shirt or yellow tee to ask for assistance.
Strollers are welcome, but coolers are not. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the lawn space for the live music and events all weekend.
